Purpose

The Toon-In Talk Podcast is your rendezvous for animation interviews. Host Whitney Grace is dedicated to bringing you the best interviews and stories straight from the animation, comic book, puppetry, and geek industries.  Toon-In Talk is part of the Fanboy Nation podcast network, which is one of the top news sources for all geek and entertainment news.

Bio photo 1Whitney Grace is an internationally renowned animation historian.  She made her debut with Lotte Reiniger: Pioneer of Film Animation (2017, McFarland Books); the first book that chronicles Lotte Reiniger’s life story and contribution to animation and puppetry history.

Grace is also a graphic novel writer and has two unpublished drafts: Blood, Feather, and Stone and Cartoon Girl.

Golden Bell Studios snapped up three of her ideas and are currently developing them: Iron Impetigo, Chalk Doodles, and an untitled L. Frank Baum related project.

She used to write for the Comic Buyer’s Guide and Animerica.  

While she is an animation historian, she also specializes in comic books and puppetry.  Her writing skills range from non-fiction to fiction, basically anything that pays.

Grace has a Master’s in Information Science and a BA in Spanish.

She enjoys reading, gardening, watching movies and TV, loves dogs, and wants TCM to hire her as a new host.

Grace is diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of high functioning autism.
